Hay Broth started as a humble market stall in Hay-on -Wye in November 2016. We've been busily souping, chopping, cooking, baking and popping up at various events all year.

Jess has been forging relationships with growers, producers, farmers, butchers and bakers to put the absolute best of the best on your plate.

Now she's taken over the reigns at Shepherds Parlour, and is loving her new ice cream family.

Jess wasn't always a cook. Back in the day she was a townie and actress (and sometime waitress). Nosing round the kitchens of many a London restaurant gave her a few ideas. 

After many years in the capital, she had two babies and moved to Herefordshire, and boy is she glad she did.
